This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and your rights over it. We have tried to keep it short and in plain English.
Who we are
Webber Discos, Andy Webber Photography and Webber Photo Booths are run by Andy Webber, trading as a sole trader, based in Comber, Co.Down, Northern Ireland. Andy is the data controller for the information described here.
Contact: info@webberdiscos.co.uk or 07968 482181.
What we collect
- Enquiries: your name, email, phone number, event date, venue and anything you tell us in your message.
- Bookings: your name, email, phone number, the session or package you choose, date and time, venue details, number of guests and any notes you add.
- Payments: card payments for studio sessions are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. We receive confirmation that you have paid, the amount, and a payment reference.
- Reviews: the name, rating, review, event type and date you choose to share, and optionally your email address, which is never shown on the website.
- Technical information: like every website, our hosting provider processes your IP address and basic browser details to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and give you a quote. (Lawful basis: taking steps at your request before entering a contract.)
- To take, confirm and deliver your booking, send confirmations and reminders, and take payment. (Lawful basis: performing our contract with you.)
- To send you one email after your booking asking how it went. (Lawful basis: legitimate interests. You can ask us not to.)
- To show your review on the website. (Lawful basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.)
- To keep records for accounting and tax. (Lawful basis: legal obligation.)
We do not sell your information, and we do not send marketing emails.
Who we share it with
We only share information with the services that help us run the website and your booking:
- Cloudflare: website hosting, database and security.
- Resend: sending booking and enquiry emails.
- Stripe: taking card payments.
- Google Fonts: the website's typefaces are loaded from Google, which receives your IP address when the page loads.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they use approved safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or UK adequacy regulations.
How long we keep it
- Booking and payment records: 6 years, for tax purposes.
- Enquiries that do not become a booking: up to 12 months.
- Reviews: until you ask us to remove them, or we take them down.
Cookies
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. The website may set cookies that are strictly necessary for security and spam protection (for example by Cloudflare), and Stripe sets its own cookies on its secure payment page.
Photos
Photos from your session or event are never posted on our website or social media without your permission.
Children
Our services are booked by adults. Where a booking involves children, such as a family session, the parent or guardian provides any information we need.
Your rights
You can ask us to see, correct, delete or stop using your personal information, and you can withdraw consent for your review at any time. Just email info@webberdiscos.co.uk. We will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
